Social in the Gardens – Scotland’s Festival of Social Enterprise returns to the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens on 27 and 28 July 2018 and will be even bigger and better than before. We will be open from 10am – 8.30pm both days and have a great line up of performers, family activities, a diverse range of social enterprises selling their products and providing catering and refreshments, and support agencies offering information, advice and guidance re all things social enterprise.
With a change of days to the weekend, we anticipate smashing last year’s visitor numbers and attracting well in excess of 10,000 members of the public over 2 days. (Last year we had 7,800 visitors, midweek and with horrendous weather!)
A key ingredient that is vital to making Social in the Gardens such a huge success is our amazing team of volunteers.
This year we are looking for up to 50 volunteers over 2 days to undertake the following roles:
General volunteers – we need a squad of can-do folks to help out at the festival with, for example, setting up, meeting and greeting the general public, signposting visitors to information, keeping the area clean and tidy, encouraging members of the public to visit the festival.
