The Yard

Looking for something different to do with the kids on Sunday? We're open to the general public every Sunday Funday - your chance to share in The Yard magic. All families are welcome at The Yard Edinburgh to play in our adventure playground, get messy in our art room, roll about on the soft play, build a castle in the sandpit, ride bikes or just get outside and run around. Our opening hours are 10am to 4pm.

During the week The Yard offers disabled children and young people, and their siblings, the chance to experience creative, adventurous indoor and outdoor play in a well supported environment. It is a unique, safe space where children and young people experience truly inclusive play.

We have been creating adventure play opportunities for disabled children since 1986. As well as our flagship centre in Edinburgh, we run services in Dundee and Fife (Kirkcaldy). Our families tell us The Yard is an important lifeline that creates a sense of belonging, community, and support for parents and carers too.

On a Sunday The Yard is open to everyone.
