As we move to phase three of the Scottish Government’s route map, more members are planning to re-open. There are a number of online events coming up that explore some of the issues around re-opening or modifying your business.
Social Enterprise Networks Scotland has a number of thematic SENs that bring together Social Enterprises from across the country around specific topics or industries. Upcoming thematic SEN meetings and activities are detailed below;
Joint Thematic SEN Session: Supporting your staff back to work – Thursday 16th July 2-3.30pm via Zoom Douglas Strang of BTO’s Employment team will talk you through the practicalities of getting your staff back to work as we move through the Scottish Government’s phased approach to easing lockdown. Lindsay MacNeill from BTO’s Health and Safety team will review your duties as an employer to ensure the safety of your staff and how best to meet your legislative responsibilities in light of the current situation and shifting government guidance. Employability SEN Network Meeting – Tuesday 21st July, 11.00-12.00 via Zoom Social Enterprises across the country have responded amazingly to meet the needs of their communities and support the most vulnerable through the current crisis. In doing so, we know members have adopted new ways of operating, pivoted services, overcome challenges, refocused on markets or new social needs and now, are planning for the future. Delay in reopening of the sport sector – response to Scottish Government
Senscot is looking for views from Sport SEN members in light of last week’s update from Scottish Government and the delay in announcements regarding the re-opening of the sport sector, in particular indoor sports centres and swimming pools. Financial support for business continuity, re-opening, overcoming barriers to trading
ESE has 15 grants of £500 available to full members of the network with low turnover, who have been severely affected by the pandemic and have been unable to access other crisis support funding. A separate email has been sent to full members with criteria and details of how to apply.
